MPG 351C Oil Kit Installation Instructions

Please read and understand these instructions before attempting this installation.

The five (5) threaded plugs in this kit are to be installed in main bearing webs #2-5.  These will reduce oil flow to the cam bearings and the left (driver's side) lifter galley thereby increasing oil flow to the crankshaft bearings.

The four (4) smaller plugs (5/16-18 thread) restrict the VERTICAL oil passages between the main bearing bores and the cam bearings in #2-5 main webs.  Number 1 web is not to be modified.  Using a 5/16-18 starting tap, thread the VERTICAL oil passages to approximately 3/4" depth.

The single large plug (3/8-16 thread) is to be located in the DIAGONAL oil passage that runs from #5 main bearing bore to the left (oil filter side) tappet oil galley.  Using a 3/8-16 starting tap, thread this DIAGONAL passage to a depth of approximately 3/4".  DO NOT install any plugs yet.

Thoroughly clean the block and its' passages to remove ALL metal chips, grit, etc. before securely installing the restrictor plugs in their proper locations.
